The Big Question: “Which online platform will host SOCAP Virtual?”
Well...we couldn’t choose just one! SOCAP Virtual will take place on two platforms: Bizzabo (SOCAPVirtual.com) and Hopin.
We will use each platform’s best features for an unforgettable dynamic experience.
Please read the FAQ first. If you cannot solve your problem, come back here and join our registration team in a Zoom call.
The live help desk will be staffed on Sunday, October 18, from 4:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. PT, and from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday is tbd.
The password to enter the Zoom call is SOCAP.
The Help Desk will be staffed by one staff member who can access the backend of Bizzabo and Hopin and a volunteer who can try to help with tech issues only, but does not have access to any area that contains personal information. Wait times might be important. We thank you for your understanding and patience.
I AM NEW TO BIZZABO.
Bizzabo is our lobby/public exhibit hall we are calling the VIRTUAL PAVILLION and Hopin, which is the amphitheater/classroom/ballroom we are calling our STAGE where all the live events will take place. Bizzabo will stay up after the conference, and you will come back to it to communicate with other attendees or watch recordings of the sessions. Many areas of Bizzabo are public - the agenda, the sponsor pages, the entrepreneur showcase. The Community and session recordings are for ticket holders only, as are all the sessions on Hopin.
You can access the agenda here and (if you are a ticket holder) you can star the sessions you would like to attend (this is not a reservation system).
If you have trouble logging in, we suggest you go to the Community page, and get Bizzabo to send you an email to sign in. It will come from [email protected] You MUST use the same email address that you used to register.
If your company holds spam for 24 hours, create a filter to keep emails coming from @bizzabo.com out of spam.
You can add the sessions to your calendar once you've opened the session
The blue link at the bottom of the description will take you directly to the session.
PROBLEMS LOGGING IN BIZZABO?
Here are some recommendations from the Bizzabo tech team:
Use an incognito window
Use a supported and recommended browser - Chrome/Firefox/Edge
Clean your cache and cookies
Try a different network - if possible
Try a different machine - if possible
Close VPN like software
Work behind a home network and not a work network
If your company's firewall is very tight, ask your IT team to allow the Bizzabo domain or use your own computer if possible.
Download our app on your phone and access the agenda through the app - scroll to the bottom of this page for a link.
I'M NEW TO HOPIN. HOW DOES IT WORK?
This is the most comprehensive video (still under 5 minutes) that covers the entire event experience on Hopin and how to navigate the platform once the event is live. Watching this video before SOCAP Virtual Digital begins on October 20th will ensure that you’re aware of various platform features and can successfully navigate Hopin. If you would rather review a PDF version to help guide your question please check out this SOCAP VIrtual guide.
Still looking for the email from Hopin containing the magic link?
If you don't see this email in your inbox, create a filter out of spam for this email address before asking us to re-send it.
HOW DO I ACCESS MY TICKET FOR THE EVENT?
Once registered, login to your Hopin account and go to your dashboard where your ticket will show. When the event is live and you want to enter, simply click on the ticket and it will take you through to all of the live sessions, marketplace, and networking facility.
Please watch this brief 1 minute video which will help guide you through the process of logging back into Hopin for the event once you’ve already booked a ticket.
I CAN'T REMEMBER THE PASSWORD I USED TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT. HOW CAN I ACCESS THIS?
When logging back into Hopin you can click ‘Forgot my password’ as you would with many other online account platforms and instructions for resetting your password will be sent to your email. If you do not receive an email, please check your junk mail to see if the message from ‘[email protected]’ ended up there. If not, please join our Zoom helpdesk so one of our team members or volunteers can assist you and help look up your name and email to ensure you are in fact registered for the event.
In case it is helpful, here is a quick one minute video about logging into Hopin and updating your profile.
I'M LOGGED INTO HOPIN, BUT I CAN'T ACCESS CERTAIN FEATURES LIKE CHAT AND/OR SHARE MY AUDIO AND VIDEO. CAN YOU HELP?
Hopin works best with supported browsers. The latest Chrome or Firefox on OSX/Windows10/Android or Safari on iOS. SEWF recommends Google Chrome for the best user experience on Hopin when using a computer. DO NOT USE INTERNET EXPLORER OR MICROSOFT EDGE.
If you have switched to a supported browser, but continue to experience issues, you may join us in the event helpdesk (in the ‘Sessions’ area of Hopin running throughout the entire event) or use the Zoom helpdesk room if you’re unable to access Hopin. Links to both help desks will be provided on Monday, the 19th of October before the start of the event.
HOW DO I CREATE A PROFILE IN HOPIN OR ADD ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NEXT TO MY NAME?
This video provides a quick overview of creating a profile in Hopin. When you log into Hopin you will see a circle in the top right hand corner of the screen. By clicking on that a drop down menu will appear where you can click to edit your profile and add a profile photo, bio, social media links, and other information.
HOW CAN I CHAT WITH OTHER PEOPLE ON THE PLATFORM OR SEE IF SOMEONE HAS MESSAGED ME?
This video will provide an overview of the “Chat, Polls, and People” menu that will pop out on the right side of your screen when in the Hopin platform. If you cannot see this, look for the small arrow to the right of the timer and click on that to expand the chat window. The written Hopin user guide also provides useful information including screenshots on how to navigate the chat function on the platform.
We have worked to ensure SOCAP Virtual attendees will still be able to engage in spur-of-the-moment, one-on-one conversations, after-hours get-togethers, and even on-stage Q&A directly with our esteemed panelists and presenters.
Here are eight ways you’ll be able to network, connect, and spur collective efforts at our SOCAP Virtual conference
You can access the list of all attendees in an Google Sheet format that is easier to search than the Community. You cannot download this list and you cannot access other attendees through this list. You will need to join the Community to do so.
If you want your information removed from this list, contact [email protected] and we will remove/update the information within 24 hours.
You can cut update your profile here and also remove yourself from the community by clicking on "leave Community" at the top right hand of this page.
To cut on the number of emails you receive, go to settings, and choose what kind of communication you wish to get:
All panels will be recorded. Networking sessions and workshops will not be recorded.
Some recordings might be available before the end of the conference, but we expect that we will add the bulk of the recordings within the next two weeks.
You will need to log in Bizzabo to access them. Once logged in, you will just need to click on the session in the agenda to be taken to the recording. A handful of mainstage sessions will be free to watch on our YouTube channel.
